Hon’ble Vice President of India has launched Deen Dayal Divyangjan Sahaj Yojana for Persons with Disabilities (PWD) in Assam. This scheme will provide benefits to all the disabled people living in the state. Thereafter, the government will give a one-time financial assistance of Rs. 5000 to the disabled for their treatment. Accordingly, about 4.5 lakh Divyangjans residing in the state will be benefitted by this scheme.
