Amazon Fraud Experience – A True Story
I never expected that one of the biggest online platforms like Amazon could disappoint me like this. Recently, I ordered a pair of shoes (Size 9) worth ₹2500. When they arrived, the size didn’t fit me, so I immediately requested a return.
But that’s where the real trouble began. The pickup boy refused to take the product back, saying I should “mark it as missing” — something that made no sense at all. After I insisted, he finally took the shoes but never processed my return properly. When I contacted Amazon customer care, they said the refund couldn’t be issued because of a “missing Serial number.” I felt completely helpless.
I raised a formal complaint with Amazon, and only then the pickup guy returned the same shoes back to me! I didn’t want to argue more, so I applied for a replacement this time — because all I wanted was my proper-sized product. But once again, when the replacement arrived, the delivery person simply said, “It can’t be done,” and walked away.
Now I’m left with no shoes, no refund, and a terrible experience. I’ve trusted Amazon for years, but this incident has completely shaken that trust. I hope Amazon takes strict action against such irresponsible behavior and ensures no other customer faces this kind of fraud.
Pickup Boy Plays an Important Role
I faced a lot of problems from Amazon, because their courier guy kept bothering me again and again, when I placed a return order, he did not come the first time, then when he came, he took the shoes and did not update the status, when I talked to him, he blocked me… let me explain in detail.
- First of all, I returned the shoes as they did not fit, which is a normal thing.
- After filing the return, when the pickup boy was supposed to come to collect the shoes, he did not come and the pickup was postponed to a later day.
- I called him the next day, and the pickup boy came and said the shoes wouldn’t be returned because they didn’t have a number on them. I don’t know which number he was referring to.
- And then he took the shoes and left! But he didn’t update the status for two days. So I called Amazon and marked it complete. On the third day, he called and said he was coming to return the shoes. He returned them to me.
- When I got my shoes back, I thought that I need shoes one size bigger, so why not choose the replacement. Since I needed shoes, I chose the Meninis option and placed the replacement order.
- The replacement shoes arrived within a day or two, but the delivery person was a bit treacherous, saying, “You can’t replace the shoes like this. I need your number, and only if you give me the new shoes will I give you the replacement shoes.” He refused to deliver the replacement shoes.
- The delivery boy told me to mark it missing, meaning I didn’t receive the product. I asked him, “I received the shoes. Why should I mark it missing?” He replied, “That’s just how it’s supposed to be. It won’t be the way you want it to be.”
- Even after talking repeatedly, the delivery boy was saying the same thing and I have recordings of all this.
- After all this happened, I filed a complaint with Amazon, and they told me that the complaint would be resolved within the day, and they arranged my return for the last time. They said this was your third and last chance. After this, returns would be closed.
- This time, the courier boy took my shoes back from me and told me I would get my money back. I have recordings of this as well.
- After this he took away the shoes from me and did not update the status for a long time and when I updated it, it was written that return rejected.
- After 7 or 8 days I again spoke to Amazon and they told me that your return has been rejected and we are investigating the reason for it, so it will take us 4 days and Amazon started its investigation again.
- Four days later, on November 2nd, Amazon informed me that the return we received was incorrectly shipped. “You sent the wrong product. You won’t receive a return,” which was completely false.
- When I learned about this, I was deeply saddened, as I had already filed a proper return and paid ₹2500. This meant I suffered a double loss; I neither received the shoes nor received a refund.
- I then contacted the courier boy again. After contacting him from a different number and pressuring him, he said he would return the shoes. The next day, he returned them to me. They were the same shoes, but worn, dirty, and worn out. When I asked about them, he said he had found them and that was enough.
Do you know what the Amazon courier boy did?
From the very beginning, the Amazon courier wanted to take my shoes and orchestrated this entire conspiracy. First, he refused to deliver them to me, then he took them from me without updating them. He failed to update the status on Amazon, and then he kept the return I sent without processing it. All of this indicates that he did everything solely to keep the shoes for himself, so he could profit from them, because he was getting them for free.

Why is the Amazon team unable to help?
Despite repeated complaints and proof, Amazon’s team’s inattention to the complaint demonstrates gross negligence. Whether Amazon will handle customers in this manner is a significant question.

डिलीवरी वाले का लालच और फायदा यही चाहता है क्या अमेज़न ?
इस पुरे मामले में डिलीवरी वाले ने अपना फायदा देखा है , पहले तो वो रिटर्न लेने से मना करता है फिर जब शिकायत करके और जोर दवाब डाला जाता है तो वो जुटे लेकर जाता है पर खुद रख लेता है और स्टेटस को अपडेट नही करता है . मतलब की ग्राहक के 2500 रूपये लग जाये और अमेज़न का सामान आगे वापिस न भेजे और खुद ही रख ले. क्या ये सब सही है क्या ? बार बार जब बात करे तो पुराना ,यूज़ लिया हुआ सामान लोटा कर जाये और इसको ग्राहक के द्वारा सही समझा जाये और शिकायत भी न की जाये .
अगर डिलीवरी वाले की गलती है तो ग्राहक क्यों भुगते ? जबकि ग्राहक ने तो जुटे वापिस भी किये,शिकायते भी की ….इन सभी क बाद ग्राहक को क्या मिलता है ? पुरे एक महीने की टेंशन और 2500 रूपये का घाटा और अमेज़न की और से ठेंगा . और डिलीवरी वाले के मजे ही मजे .
आगे क्या किया जाये
सभी चीज़ की शिकायत उपभोगता मंच में की जाये ..सारे सबूत और रिकॉर्ड के साथ . ताकि अमेज़न ऐसा किसी और के साथ न करे . भले ही इन सब में अमेज़न शामिल नहीं है किन्तु ग्राहक का क्या कसूर है ? अमेज़न जब मदद नहीं करेगा तो कोण करेगा?
